Chromatik: search images based on their color content

La vie en rose is now possible with Chromatik!

Shortly following Google (too bad for us this time, remember last year we were the first to launch the face recognition feature ;-)), the Exalead Labs Team is proud to introduce its brand new version of a color based search engine called Chromatik. We hope you will like it.

This feature allows you to select the color related to the images you wish to appear in the search results.

Now all you have to do is click the colors of your choice and the results will be filtered according to that choice.

Here is a little example. We’ve done a search for a flower: first with no color filter and then with the red filter turned on. Images below.

We are not going to stop here...

Chromatik is not only limited to a single color selection, but two, three, four, twelve... More than a hundred colors.

Indeed, you can:

3 colored flowers

The click follows a new request which allows you to restrict the images containing a minimum of the colors selected ( ie. the quantity in the adjustment bar)

To unselect the colors just click in the same square… So easy!

And next:

As a demo, Chromatik may encounter some bugs so please be patient. We are waiting for your feedback!

The demonstration is available on: http://chromatik.labs.exalead.com/
